I've been reading a great deal lately about what other's say about how a believer discovers and lives according to God's will. There are those who say that God's will for one's life is like hitting the bullseye on a target. Others argue that God has a specific will for certain decisions, but allows us to choose our own way with other decisions.
I'm preparing a workshop for pastors in a few weeks, and I'd be interested in hearing your views on God's will and how a follower of Christ discovers and lives by God's will.
Here are some questions I'd like to pose.
1. Does God have a specific will for the major decisions (e.g. one's career path) and a permissive will for the smaller matters (such as what tie to wear)?
2. What happens to a Christian who "misses" God's will?
3. Does God have a mate picked out for me? What if I marry the wrong person?
